Jane Goodall Institute teas

This month, we’re excited to announce the launch of our five new teas that have been selected to carry Dr. Jane Goodall’s “Good for All” seal!  A portion of the profits for every box sold supports the JGI, a global leader in the effort to protect chimpanzees and their habitats. The Institute is also recognized for establishing innovative community-centered conservation programs in Africa, as well as Roots & Shoots, its international youth program.

Dr. Goodall is a world-renowned primatologist, humanitarian, and conservationist whose ground-breaking work changed the way we view chimpanzee behavior and place in the animal kingdom.  Today, she continues her commitment to the chimpanzees and the health of the planet by speaking and raising money for the JGI 300 days a year.

Most recently, she was featured on this week’s 60 Minutes, giving an incredible glimpse into her life’s work and discoveries.  If you didn’t catch it already, be sure to take a look:

Choice Organic Teas and the Jane Goodall Institute are ideal partners as we share many of the same goals such as conservation, sustainability, and education. This well-rounded collection of flavorful green, black, decaf, and herbal teas sourced from four different continents celebrates the universal passion for tea while supporting the JGI and our continued leadership and commitment to social and environmental sustainability.

Besides supporting the JGI, these teas offer some unique and delicious flavors if we do say so!  Wild Forest Black comes from ancient tea trees in Southeast Asia that have been harvested for generations. You’ll notice the distinct flavor from tea trees that grow wild, some reaching 30 feet high.  The earthy flavor of Rooibos gets a fruity makeover with citrus, hibiscus, rosehips, and schizandra berry in our Rooibos Superfruit. Decaffeinated English Breakfast offers a decaf spin on a British classic, perfect for bedtime or anytime.  Oothu Garden Green is a single estate tea from India’s Oothu Singampatti tea estate and has a bright and pleasant flavor. Yerba Maté loyalists and hesitant newcomers alike will love the refreshing, energizing blend of spearmint, peppermint, and lemongrass in our Yerba Maté Mint. All five are available now at your local natural food grocery and online.
