Recipe: Botanical Tea Bubbly

Break out the bubbles to ring in the New Year! This herbaceous infusion is an elegant way to say “Cheers” as 2018 comes to a close. Delicate Premium Japanese Green tea and Lavender DRY Sparkling soda topped with rosemary makes for a graceful, aromatic way to sip the night away.

Botanical Tea Bubbly

Ingredients (makes one serving):

  • 1 shot of Premium Japanese Green infused gin (instructions below)
  • ½ cup chilled Lavender DRY Sparkling soda
  • Sprig of fresh rosemary
  • Ice

Instructions:

To make Premium Japanese Green infused gin:

  1. Add 4 tea bags of Premium Japanese Green into ½ cup gin.
  2. Let sit for at least 24 hours before using.

To make cocktail:

  1. Add ice to a glass.
  2. Combine gin and soda over ice and stir to chill.
  3. Strain chilled drink mixture through ice and into a champagne or wine glass.
  4. Garnish with rosemary.
  5. Enjoy!

Want to make it a mocktail?

Ingredients (makes one serving):

  • ½ cup Premium Japanese Green tea
  • ½ cup Lavender DRY Sparkling soda
  • Sprig of fresh rosemary
  • ice

Instructions:

  1. Steep two tea bags of Premium Japanese Green in 1 cup of 190° water for 5 minutes.
  2. Add ice to a large glass.
  3. Pour ½ cup of tea and soda into glass and stir.
  4. Garnish with rosemary.
  5. Enjoy!
