Recipe: Sparkling Apple Hibiscus

The taste of tart hibiscus, berries, and apple mingle to craft a merry cocktail (or mocktail), adding a cheerful touch to any holiday event. Bright Blackberry Hibiscus herbal tea is mellowed by the deep crisp apple taste of DRY Sparkling Fuji Apple soda. A touch of colorful mint and fresh cranberries take the jolly factor up a notch.

Sparkling Apple Hibiscus  

Ingredients (makes one serving): 
  • 1 shot of Blackberry Hibiscus infused vodka (instructions below) 
  • ½ cup chilled Fuji Apple DRY Sparkling soda 
  • Fresh mint leaves 
  • Fresh cranberries 
  • ice
Instructions: 

To make Blackberry Hibiscus infused vodka:

  1. Add 4 tea bags of Blackberry Hibiscus into ½ cup vodka. 
  2. Let sit for at least 24 hours before using.

To make cocktail:

  1. Muddle one mint leaf in the bottom of a 12 oz glass. 
  2. Add ice to glass. 
  3. Pour vodka and soda into glass and stir. 
  4. Garnish with floating cranberries and a mint leaf. 
  5. Enjoy!  

Want to make it a mocktail? 

Ingredients (makes one serving): 

  • ½ cup Blackberry Hibiscus tea 
  • ½ cup chilled Fuji Apple DRY Sparkling soda 
  • Fresh mint leaves 
  • Fresh cranberries 
  • ice

Instructions: 

  1. Steep two tea bags of Blackberry Hibiscus in 1 cup of freshly boiled water for 10 minutes. 
  2. Add ice to glass.  
  3. Pour ½ cup of tea and soda into glass and stir. 
  4. Garnish with floating cranberries and mint. 
  5. Enjoy!
