Two of the top ten most appealing things about Seattle are our music scene and our restaurant scene, both of which are truly first-class. So it only makes sense to combine the great food and great music into one unique experience. The Washington Restaurant Association thought so, and Seattle Soundbite was born. This is Soundbite’s second year, and we are very excited to be a sponsor.
Seattle Soundbite is a unique event showcasing both the restaurants of Seattle and the talented people who work in them. Every band that auditioned had to include at least one member working in the foodservice industry. Along with headliners Helio Sequence, the lineup features Sue Quigley, Bird Show of North America, Puget Sound System, Truce, and Doctor Doctor. DJ Reflex will be there spinning between sets. And if you’re hungry, Seattle’s hottest restaurants – Barrio, Cantinette, Cremant, Oddfellows, Palace Kitchen, Pike Street Fish Fry, Purple Café & Wine Bar, Quinn’s, Ray’s Café, Red Door, Serafina, Tango, and Via Tribunali – will be there serving up sophisticated takes on street food. We’ll have our tables set up as well, so come by and try some Choice Organic Teas. We’ll have Whole Leaf Organics and Gourmet teas to sample and to take home.
It all takes place at the Showbox Sodo on March 19, this Thursday. Tickets are $15 in advance and available from Ticketmaster. The proceeds benefit some great causes- the Washington Restaurant Association, Prostart, and The Vera Project. Food, music, and a good cause- what could be better?
